What was the highlight of Pisces Youth Hostel

Nice and homely place to stay but needs some more cleaning

Beautiful old building and very nicely decorated. Homely atmosphere, with large living room, pool table and the double room had a couch and TV. Location is good and staff was very friendly. We could do laundry for free as well.

The room was a bit dusty and shared facilities could use a bit more cleaning as well. Furthermore there is a (lovely!) dog, but it poops and pees on the floor in the public rooms.

Fine for a few nights, needs a cleaning

Free washing machine for clothing and bikes was great. There is a super cute and friendly dog always waiting for you when you get back. Private room was very spacious and had a comfy sofa and large TV with cable. Water cooler with cold and hot water. Very hot water in the shower. Lots of pillows available for the bed. Effective AC

The whole place desperately needs a cleaning, especially the bathroom and kitchen. There is dust, filth, and dog hair everywhere. The furniture in common space is mostly ripped up (probably from the lovable dog). The outdoor space is littered with dog poop. The whole place smells like cigarettes. The bathrooms and common space are open to the outside and a lot of bugs get in. Bed was quite hard.

Nice furniture;

Nice furniture; well equipped and spacious double room; friendly host; nice and friendly sog; bicycles for free

It‘s very dirty (the bathrooms look as they haven‘t been cleaned for ages, everywhere is dust; the host couldn‘t speak English; I can‘t recommend to stay here

Variety of facilities, free rental of bicycles, very comfortable bed, Dog, good place for laundry, close proximity to downtown

Sure it's not as clean as reviewed by others but since we walk around in footwear I find it manageable. The boss is also friendly and will try to accede to your requests.

What was the highlight of Pisces Youth Hostel

Exceptional

The price was really cheap and the hostel was just located on the downtown streets. It was easy to reach the restaurants just by walking. There was a big TV and free movies, sofa and a pool table at public area in the hostel. The Owner was also friendly, he lent me a bike to take a look around the city. I had a great night here!

The hostel looks nice, but it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in ages.

The hostel looks very nice and there is a nice billiard table to play at (free). Also, there is a computer you can use and lots of common room. The double room we booked was also very large.

The hostel was very dirty. It seemed like it had not been cleaned in ages. There was a thick layer of dust everywhere. Also, when we arrived they told us that the key of our room was lost, so there was no key. There were also no lockers, so our stuff was unattended during our whole stay. This was very inconvenient.

Friendly and helpful staff/ rental bikes for free/ lovely decoration and design of the hostel

The hostel was while I was staying there not in a clean state, especially the bathroom and the toilets were dirty, trash was lying on the floor/ the beds are quite old/ comment for persons with animal hair allergy: in the hostel lives a friendly dog staying there the whole day

Awesome host and must stay hostel

The host is the main reason why I would like to come back again! He's a man full of humor and stories. And the location and facilities are beyond I could ask for, very convenient to anywhere in the city. Oh, the hostel will rent you really professional bike so you can explore Taitung deeper.
